Hi there,

My name is Rodolfo "Rudy" Garcia and I am the Physics/AP Physics Teacher at Liberty High.

This is my second year teaching and am excited to bring the most enjoyable classroom experience possible to the students of Liberty High. I emphasize pulling the science out of everyday concepts and ideas like sports, pop - culture, and specific student interests to show that Physics is quite literally everywhere.

I am originally from the Coachella Valley and spend most of my time outside of teaching doing Amateur Astronomy across Southern California. I am a firm believer that the best ways to learn about the world is by going out there and experiencing it. No amount of textbooks or calculations can truly prepare you for the mud on your boots or the obstacles you may find, but I'd like to think that having some theoretical knowledge of the world around you is a great way to get a head start. 

I received both my Associate's in Physics and Mathematics from College of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA where I then transferred to UC Riverside to complete my Bachelor's in Geophysics. I then stayed one more year at UCR to complete my Master's in Education and received my teaching credential in both Physics and Earth/Space Science.

I'm looking forward to having a great year and am excited to meet the first ever juniors of Liberty High.
